I'm typically one to believe in half-hearted miracles, just because I'm such a drama-addict. This is coming from a selfish fool who thinks her life is going to reach beyond extraordinary. I guess deep inside, giving back to others will help me redeem some sort of pride that'll make it okay for me to live.

But enough about me. If it wasn't for Ash, then I probably wouldn't have come across this until 5 months later. So here's the nutshell: This is a woman who's enduring two neurological disorders and she has absolutely no money to pay for surgery. This girl's part of the Megauploads Rewards program and if she's able to get 5 million downloads of a simple text file then they will pay her enough to cover her surgery. Currently she's at about 8000 clicks as of yesterday from 400 on September 24, 2007.

Here's her rant about about people concerned about viruses and here's her journal. Right here's her community about this project that it is frequently updated with information and the current number of clicks. The last link I will give is the direct link to the project file. You won't have to wait 45 seconds to download, it will simply just prompt you if you want to save it or open it. Opening it will do it's good therefore I suggest that. So click. Spread it around if you believe in such miracles and maybe sprinkle a little confetti as the counter hits 10k.

FlyAngel gets aproximately 50 hits a day on average during the school year. I calculate that if each visitor clicks the file once then in one month, FlyAngel alone will be able to collect 1500 clicks for that girl. This probably doesn't leave a dent in the 5 million but don't forget, other blogs and sites are promoting this girl's dream, including her own journal.
